Worswell Barton Farm Wedding, April & Michael

In the summer of 2021 I was in Devon to photograph April & Michael's Worswell Farm Wedding.  What April and Michael wanted more than anything, was to get married in a beautiful outdoor location surrounded by all their friends and family.  Worswell Farm was definitely the perfect place for them,  with its spectacular panoramic views of the Devon coast.  It suited me very well too for capturing some amazing photos for them.April and Michael got ready in the farmhouse before heading to the cliff edge where their friends and family were sat waiting on straw bales.  Following an emotional Humanist ceremony and an exit through an energetic confetti run, we headed off to take some lovely photos in the beautiful seascape location.  It was great being their photographer and capturing all the raw emotions.

Here's what April & Michael had to say about their wedding

What was your favourite part of the wedding?Favourite part of the wedding was the speeches, we were able to be more relaxed and really enjoy the moment. It helped that the speeches were super personal, funny but not over the top.

Please let me know about any personal or DIY touches you added to make the day a little more ā€˜youā€™.I think having an outside wedding made it more about us; having the space and the beautiful scenery made it really easy to feel relaxed. Also having a celebrant allowed the ceremony to be a moment to share our journey with our loved ones.

Why did you choose your venue? We thought an outside wedding with a marquee would be cheaper, we were wrong! However once we saw the view we fell in love with the venue and knew that was were we wanted to share our commitment with the people closest to us.

How did you find using Lee Dann Photography, were there any particular things about my approach that you liked, and how did you feel about the photos once you received them?Lee was amazing. Very easy going, natural photography and never felt that the posing for the photoā€™s were forced. We also loved the little bits of advice you gave us throughout the day.The album sent to us really captured our day candidly.

If you were doing it all again what would be the one bit of advice youā€™d give yourself at the start of the planning process? It costs more than you think! Take time, talk to each other and if you disagree remember the wife is always right.

Worswell Farm Wedding Photography

I have photographed many weddings in my time as a wedding photographer but i'd struggle to think of a venue more suited to nature lovers and those that want something with a spectacular backdrop for their big day.Worswell Farm is a working farm and B&B that also host weddings under the name Wurzell Weddings.  A field venue with sea and moor views.  Situated in Noss Mayo, Plymouth. It is a dream venue for a photographer, with so many fantastic options available.I really loved working with April & Michael.  It was such an intimate, heartwarming day.I hope you enjoy looking at the photos and if you are planning a wedding I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks for looking.
