Moxhull Hall Wedding, Amy & Nick

I love being a Moxhull Hall Wedding photographer.  It is such a fabulous venue, I always look forward to photographing a wedding there.  When my good friends Amy and Nick asked me to be their photographer and they were getting married at Moxhull Hall, I was more than a tad excited.

Here's what Amy & Nick had to say about their wedding

What was your favourite part of the wedding? The ceremony, being so personal to us both, from start to finish. Flower men, music, having a long-term friend conduct the fake 'ceremony' for us therefore making it much more personal than any other ceremony. The evening, specifically the dancefloor. Choreographed dance with bridesmaids from the hen-do and then five hours of dancefloor action with the band and our playlist. Band stayed half an hour longer than they were meant to as they were enjoying the evening so much. Dancefloor was never quiet.

Please let me know about any personal or DIY touches you added to make the day a little more ā€˜youā€™.Bride made dried flower hoops for the bridesmaids and macrame hoops for the aisle and all venue decoration. Homemade, by Grandma, napkins which bride embroidered guest initials on to. Close friends who acted as the flower men up the aisle. Lee conducting our ceremony for us. Writing our own vows. Smoke-bombs. Multi Coloured sparklers. Choreographed dance with bridesmaids. Glitter bar which everyone seemed to use. Cakes all made by sister-in-law. Flashing dancefloor shoes. Crisp wall made by my dad. Wearing grandad's bowtie all day long too. Bouquet was made by bride with brooches from family relatives and some friends so everyone attending wedding had a part of the bouquet. 'Penis' apron!

Why did you choose your venue?Owned by a friend of ours. The setting however is stunning and the building itself needs no decoration. Both on the day and the lead up to it the staff, Gary, Xenia, Andreas (owner) were fantastic at every point.

How did you find using Lee Dann Photography, were there any particular things about my approach that you liked, and how did you feel about the photos once you received them?Friend and the very relaxed approach which is so similar to my own.

If you were doing it all again what would be the one bit of advice youā€™d give yourself at the start of the planning process? We were about as chilled out and relaxed as it's possible to be so I don't think we'd change a thing. Advice for others:Do your own thing, don't get influenced by 'others' and you'll have a day that's 100% personal to you.
