Manor Farm Barn Wedding Photographer, Katie & Dan

I love being a Manor Farm Barn Wedding photographer.  It is such a fabulous venue, I always look forward to photographing a wedding there.  I was so pleased when Katie & Dan asked me to be their wedding photographer and what a fabulous day it was.

Here's what Katie & Dan had to say about their wedding

What was your favourite part of the wedding? It's impossible to pick a favourite part. We loved the relaxed and informal vibe. The whole day was just fantastic and we want to do it all over again! Our guests have told us their favourite parts included the food, music and caricature artist.

Please let me know about any personal or DIY touches you added to make the day a little more ā€˜youā€™.I bought dried flowers and arranged them in jars as centerpieces. We made a pallet with clocks to show timings throughout the day - it was a laugh making it. We ran out of daylight in the garden and had to finish using head torches! We went with a music theme and used this when making our place names, table plan and table numbers.

Why did you choose your venue? We fell in love with it straight away. The barn is very rustic and we could see ourselves being comfortable there. The owners are so friendly and made us feel at ease from the moment we met them. It was a no brainer, it knocked all the other venues out of the running.

How did you find using Lee Dann Photography, were there any particular things about my approach that you liked, and how did you feel about the photos once you received them?We couldn't be happier with our photos. We didn't want any posed or formal photographs so Lee's laid back style suited us. Our photographs are so natural and have captured so much. Another reason we chose Lee Dann Photography is because we liked the thought of having 2 photographs to capture different angles.

If you were doing it all again what would be the one bit of advice youā€™d give yourself at the start of the planning process?DON'T STRESS!

A selection of images from Katie & Dan's Manor Farm Barn Wedding

Katie and Dan got ready in a nearby hotel.  Katie looked fabulous in her wedding dress and the bridesmaids wore lovely pale green.  Dan who was getting ready in a different room had forgotten his belt so had to make a last minute dash to a nearby Next to pick one up.  Katie and Dan got married in the rustic barn.  A beautiful place for a ceremony and made my job as a Manor Farm Barn wedding photographer really easy to do.  Following the ceremony, everyone headed to the historic manor house for a confetti shot followed by drinks in the courtyard.

A spring wedding at Manor Farm

Following a delicious cream tea we headed for a little walk around the farm to take some natural photos.  I loved taking time out and wandering around the grounds with Katie and Dan.  After the speeches it was time for the first dance in the magical barn.  Lit up with a million (probably not that many) fairy lights, I left the wedding with the sound of the band ringing in my ears.

Wedding Photography at Manor Farm Barn

I have photographed many weddings in fine venues all over the UK.  I see why Katie & Dan chose to get married at Manor Farm Barn.  A working farm, set in many acres of mature green space, If it's a rustic space you are looking for, this really is the place.  The photo opportunities are endless and it is a dream venue for a photographer, with so many fantastic options available.I really loved working with Katie & Dan, It was such an intimate, heartwarming day.I hope you enjoy the photos and if you are planning a wedding I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks for looking.
