Wolfson College Wedding, Josie & Sam

In September 2022 I was in Oxford to photograph the wedding of Josie and Sam at the fabulous Wolfson College. I love being a Wolfson College Wedding photographer, it’s a great place full of charm, perfect for a wedding.

Josie got ready at the Linton Lodge Hotel before heading to The Oxford Register Office with her mum in a convertible wedding car. Sam made his way to the register office on a private double decker bus with a select group of friends and family. The ceremony was held in the Dexter room and was lovely with a mixture of emotions, both laughter and a few tears. The ceremony finished and Sam and Josie exiting the room to a chorus of cheers and applause.

An epic confetti run followed and then everyone made their way to Wolfson College for the reception.

Here's what Josie & Sam had to say about their wedding

What was your favourite part of the wedding?
The wedding ceremony

Please let me know about any personal or DIY touches you added to make the day a little more ‘you’.
Blending Indian and English wedding styles

Why did you choose your venue?
Because it could fit the number of guests that we wanted and also the Chef could meet our catering requirements. We also liked the layout of the venue as we could use different areas for each part of the reception.

How did you find using Lee Dann Photography, were there any particular things about my approach that you liked, and how did you feel about the photos once you received them?
We really liked the natural style of photography. It really captures the feel of the day and evokes memories with every photo. Because people were photographed whilst unaware, it really shows their personalities and also the happiness on the day.

If you were doing it all again what would be the one bit of advice you’d give yourself at the start of the planning process?
We genuinely feel everything went very well. The advice would probably be to just enjoy the day and don't sweat the small stuff.

A selection of images from Sam & Josie's Wolfson College Wedding

Waiting at Wolfson College were a much larger crowd of friends and family eager to congratulate Josie and Sam. The theme was a fusion of both Indian and English styles and I loved the vibe, so much colour and vibrancy.

I spent an hour photographing Josie, Sam and the guests enjoying the reception nibbles and drinks, before going for a walk with Josie and sam down by the river for a few natural couple photos.

I took a little breather while the guests, Josie and Sam enjoyed their meal before capturing some brilliant speeches. I must also mention the amazing entrance Sam and Josie made to Indian drummers, It was brilliant!

The night for me came to an end after photographing the first dance and dancing. This was a fantastic end to my coverage of this fabulous wedding.

A Summer Wedding Photography at Wolfson College

I have photographed many weddings in fine venues all over the UK.  I can see why Josie and Sam chose to get married at Wolfson Collegel.  A beautiful Modernist College set in the middle of the bustling city of Oxford. If it's a unique venue you are looking for, this really is the place.  The photo opportunities are endless and it is a dream venue for a photographer, with so many fantastic options available.

I really loved working with Sam & Josie, such a lovely couple and a great celebration.

I hope you enjoy the photos and if you are planning a wedding I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks for looking.
