Jess & Tim’s Unforgettable Wedding at Stratton Court Barn

There is something truly magical about a wedding that feels like a home away from home. Jess and Tim’s celebration at Stratton Court Barn in Oxfordshire was exactly that—a day filled with effortless elegance, deep-bellied laughs, and the kind of rustic charm that only a 19th-century restored barn can provide.

Morning Bliss in the Hayloft

The day began in the Hayloft, the venue's dedicated bridal preparation room. The atmosphere was a perfect blend of calm and "it’s finally happening!" excitement. As Jess’s mum helped her into her dress, the natural light streaming through the Hayloft’s windows made for some of my favourite candid portraits of the day.

The Ceremony: Love Under the Oak Beams

Tim waited at the end of the aisle in the Main Barn, a space that perfectly balances history with a fresh, airy feel thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows and high oak beams. As Jess walked down the aisle, there wasn't a dry eye in the room. The couple exchanged vows surrounded by original stonework and the warm glow of the barn’s focal point arch.

Sun-Drenched Celebrations

Following the "I dos," guests spilled out into the courtyard for fizz and celebrations. We took advantage of the venue's 50 acres of private land for the couple's portraits. From the tree-lined driveway to the rose garden, we were absolutely spoilt for choice. The perfect backdrop for those "just married" shots.

Dining and Dancing

The wedding breakfast was held in the newly converted barn, where the rustic-luxe aesthetic really shone. The speeches were a masterclass in storytelling—lots of laughter and a few heartfelt tears. As evening fell, the barn transformed. Twinkling fairy lights set the mood for the first dance, and it wasn’t long before the dance floor was packed with guests throwing their best moves.

Jess and Tim, thank you for letting me capture your incredible day at such a special venue. It was a joy from start to finish!
