Capturing Heather and Dominic’s wedding was a real pleasure. The blending of timeless tradition with a relaxed, rustic celebration. From the hallowed aisles of Oxfordshire to the rolling fields of Wantage, their day was as scenic as it was heartfelt.

The day began with me photographing the preparations with Heather, her friends and family at her parents house. It’s such a magical time, witnessing these precious moments and being present to capture them.

The Ceremony - St Michael's Church, Cumnor

The ceremony was held at St Michael's Church in Cumnor, a stunning village landmark that has stood at the heart of the community for centuries. There’s something incredibly atmospheric about photographing a ceremony here; the historical stonework and stained glass provide a classic backdrop that never goes out of style.

As Heather walked down the aisle, the soft light filtering through the ancient windows caught every emotion on Dominic’s face. After a moving service, the newlyweds emerged into the churchyard for a quintessential confetti tunnel, one of my favourite moments to capture with the stunning church as a fitting backdrop.

The Reception - Lains Barn

We then headed to the fabulous Lains Barn, a venue I always love returning to for its "all-in-one" effortless flow. This 270-year-old timber-framed barn offers a perfect mix of rustic charm and modern elegance.

• The Courtyard: Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés on the manicured lawn, soaking up the relaxed atmosphere while we snuck away for some portraits.

• The Party: As night fell, the barn transformed. Under a canopy of twinkling fairy lights, the speeches brought both tears and roars of laughter, followed by a dance floor that didn't stay empty for a second.
