Sheepdrove Farm Wedding, Laura & Tom
Laura & Tom's Beautiful Wedding at St Mary's Church, Childrey & Sheepdrove Farm
There are some weddings that perfectly capture everything that makes an English countryside celebration so special, and Laura and Tom's wedding was certainly one of them. From a heartfelt ceremony at the beautiful St Mary's Church in Childrey to an unforgettable reception surrounded by the rolling countryside at Sheepdrove Farm, their day was full of laughter, emotion and wonderful moments shared with family and friends.
A Traditional Ceremony at St Mary's Church, Childrey
The day began at the picturesque St Mary's Church in the village of Childrey. Nestled in the Oxfordshire countryside, the church provided a timeless setting for Laura and Tom to exchange their vows.
As guests filled the church, there was a real sense of excitement in the air. Laura looked absolutely stunning as she made her entrance, while Tom's smile said everything as he saw his bride for the first time.
The ceremony was full of genuine emotion, from heartfelt readings to plenty of smiles and a few happy tears. It's always a privilege to photograph these moments as they happen naturally, preserving memories that will last a lifetime.
After the ceremony, everyone gathered outside the church to congratulate the newlyweds before celebrating with confetti—a wonderful burst of colour and happiness that always makes for some of my favourite photographs.
Relaxed Portraits in the Oxfordshire Countryside
Before heading to the reception, we spent a little time together capturing some relaxed portraits of Laura and Tom. Rather than spending hours away from their guests, we kept things natural and enjoyable, allowing them to simply soak up those first few moments together as husband and wife.
The beautiful countryside surrounding Childrey provided the perfect backdrop, with soft summer light creating a timeless collection of images.
Celebrating at Sheepdrove Farm
The celebrations continued at the fantastic Sheepdrove Farm, one of Oxfordshire's most unique wedding venues. Surrounded by stunning countryside, it's a venue that perfectly combines rustic charm with modern elegance.
Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés while catching up with friends and family before everyone sat down for an incredible wedding breakfast. The speeches brought plenty of laughter, a few tears and lots of applause, reminding everyone just how loved Laura and Tom are.
As the evening unfolded, the dance floor quickly filled with guests ready to celebrate. From the couple's first dance to the energetic party that followed, there was no shortage of unforgettable moments to capture.
A Joy to Photograph
Laura and Tom were such a pleasure to work with throughout the day. They were completely focused on enjoying every moment together, trusting me to document the day naturally as it unfolded. Those are always my favourite weddings to photograph because the genuine smiles, hugs and emotions tell the real story far better than anything posed ever could.
Congratulations again to Laura and Tom. Thank you for allowing me to be part of such an incredible day. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
