Dovecote Barn Wedding Photographer, Scarlett & Stuart

Towards the end of the summer I was in Banbury to photograph the wedding of Scarlett and Stuart at the stunning Dovecote Barn. I love being a Dovecote barn Wedding photographer.  It is such a fabulous venue that I always look forward to visiting to photograph a wedding.

Scarlett and her bridesmaids got ready at a nearby hotel before heading to Dovecote events for the ceremony. I arrived a little early to capture a few prep shots of Stuart and the guys before Scarlett arrived. The barn which hosts the ceremony is super lovely and full of rustic charm. A massive bonus is also a small window towards the front that casts a lovely beam of light onto the couple. The ceremony was so lovely with a lots of emotion, both laughter and a few tears.

Following the ceremony a drinks reception was held in the beautiful courtyard behind the barn. After a bunch of candids were captured, I went for a little walk with Scarlett and Stuart to take some amazing natural couple photos in the Dovecote grounds.

A confetti run followed our return and the couple lead the way to the Tipi for the reception.

What was your favourite part of the wedding?
Dancing with our friends and family.

Why did you choose your venue?
For a unique festival theme (tipi)

How did you find using Lee Dann Photography, were there any particular things about my approach that you liked, and how did you feel about the photos once you received them?
We both commented about how 'invisible' you were on the day - you're a master at moving around a room and getting photos from every angle, without being noticed. The photos are better than we could ever have hoped for - the framing and moments captured are incredible and we'll treasure them forever.

If you were doing it all again what would be the one bit of advice you’d give yourself at the start of the planning process?
I think we were quite lucky in that the planning process went fairly smoothly for us!

I took a little breather while the guests, Scarlett and Stuart enjoyed their meal before capturing some brilliant speeches. The night for me came to an end after photographing the dancing and the first dance.

Summer Wedding Photography at Dovecote Barn

I have photographed many weddings in fine venues all over the UK.  I can see why Scarlett and Stuart chose to get married at The The Dovecote Barn.  A beautiful country Event space set in mature green space. If it's a rustic venue you are looking for, this really is the place.  The photo opportunities are endless and it is a dream venue for a photographer, with so many fantastic options available.

I really loved working with Scarlett and Stuart, such a lovely couple and a great celebration.
