Lapstone Barn Wedding, Emily & Tom

On a rainy day back in August I was in the Cotswolds for a Lapstone Barn Wedding with the very lovely Emily and Tom.I'm not familiar with Lapstone Barn and had previously met up with Emily and Tom there for a wonder round.Fast forward to the wedding day and the weather gods had decided it was going to pour down all day.  No big deal as Lapstone is more than capable of hosting a wedding under cover.  The rain certainly didn't dampen spirits.I loved working with Emily and Tom, they were so lovely and it was a fabulous day to photograph.I hope you enjoy looking at the photos and if you are planning a Lapstone Barn wedding drop me a message.

Here's what Emily had to say about their wedding

What was your favourite part of the wedding?Definitely the ceremony and the first dance; we picked an unusual song which the band remixed - it was better than we could of ever imagined

Please let me know about any personal or DIY touches you added to make the day a little more ā€˜youā€™.I designed all the print collateral myself on Indesign which saved a lot of money and made everything completely personal. I loved the placecards we created, tying the name cards on to pieces of dried lavender. We also created a huge foliage wheel and candelabra, made completely out of flowers and foliage from my parents garden.

Why did you choose your venue?I fell in love with Lapstone as soon as I saw it. It was small and intimate yet full of character and elegance. It also has a dressing room upstairs which meant my bridal party didnā€™t have to travel anyway once ready

How did you find using Lee Dann Photography, were there any particular things about my approach that you liked, and how did you feel about the photos once you received them?We were recommended Lee and we couldnā€™t be more appreciative for that recommendation. Lee and the photos were fantastic!.Thank you Lee, you are truly an awesome photographer!

If you were doing it all again what would be the one bit of advice youā€™d give yourself at the start of the planning process?Plan ahead of time, I did this and actually felt pretty calm up until 60 mins before the wedding.
