Isis Farmhouse Wedding, Hannah & Matt

Isis Farmhouse wedding

Last month I was back in Iffley, photographing another fabulous Isis Farmhouse Wedding with the lovely Hannah and Matt.I have such an amazing  job.  I get to meet lots of awesome people and work at some fabulous venues throughout Oxfordshire and beyond. The morning started with Hannah and her bridesmaids getting ready at Hawkwell house, which is just up the road from the church in Iffley village.Matt and his groomsmen got ready at the couples house in nearby Cowley before heading to the church.

St Mary's church, Iffley

When Hannah and the girls were ready I quickly made my way to the church to await their arrival.St Mary's is a beautiful Romanesque church dating back to 1160 and sits at the far end of the village of Iffley. After the ceremony it was time to make the short walk through the village and over Iffley lock to the reception.

Isis Farmhouse

I have photographed Isis farmhouse weddings in the past and I always look forward to going there.  It's without doubt one of my favourite venues in Oxford.  With its rustic charm and its fantastic position next to the river Thames, it really is the perfect spot for a relaxed out doorsy style wedding.  If I was planning a wedding again, it would definitely be at the top of the list. This was a fabulous wedding with all the elements I think make for an awesome day.

Here's what Hannah had to say about their wedding

What was your favourite part of the wedding? It's hard to pick, I think the speeches were probably my favourite part but all of it is great and being able to spend time with so many friends and family.

Please let me know about any personal or DIY touches you added to make the day a little more ā€˜youā€™.We wanted the day to feel relaxed so tried to keep it quite simple, we named the tables after streets we had lived in Oxford which made it a bit more personal and fortunately the venue was walking distance from the Church and we could all walk down together which was really nice.

Why did you choose your venue? The Isis farmhouse is somewhere we have been going to for the past few years, we had been to events there and love the location and venue.  We knew we would get married in Iffley and loved that it would be within walking distance of the Church.  It was the first place we thought of.

How did you find using Lee Dann Photography, were there any particular things about my approach that you liked, and how did you feel about the photos once you received them?We found Lee very professional and organised which was so nice when we were planning for the wedding, we were very confident that we were in safe hands and you knew what you were doing.  You made us feel comfortable having our photos taken and meant that we have got some really nice natural photos.  We loved the photos when we got them, captured so many nice moments from the day and the feel of the wedding.Thank you Lee, you are truly an awesome photographer!

If you were doing it all again what would be the one bit of advice youā€™d give yourself at the start of the planning process?Make a plan for when you want to get things done and try to stick to it so there is not too much to do at the last minute.  Don't worry too much about the little things, the small touches are nice but most things won't be missed if they are not there and it is more important to enjoy the day.

I hope you enjoy looking at the photos and if you are planning an Isis Farmhouse wedding, drop me a message, I'd love to hear from you.
